GREENSHORES
Since 2016, Parksville Heavy Equipment has been working with Stewardship BC’s “Greenshores for Homes" similar to LEED and Built Green programs, that promote green building design. Greenshores for Homes helps land owners assess a waterfront project against a set of criteria or “credits” for which the owner can earn points. Earn enough points and you receive a GREENSHORES FOR HOMES accreditation.
Municipalities are now requiring that all shoreline works are built to Greenshores Principles.
